*HARDWARE HINT
THE FROST FREE WATER SHUT- OFF (SILCOCK) ON THE SIDE OF YOUR HOME OR HEATED BUILDING MUST BE INSTALLED SO IT IS TILTED SLIGHTLY AND WILL DRAIN WHEN THE WATER HAS BEEN SHUT OFF. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT THE SEAT AND WASHER ARE LOCATED ON THE END THAT IS INSIDE THE HEATED STRUCTURE. THE WATER MUST LEAVE THE REMAINING PART OF THE SILCOCK SO IT WILL NOT FREEZE. ALSO, UNHOOK GARDEN HOSES, CAPS, OR ADDITIONAL SHUT-OFFS FROM THE OUTSIDE END OF THE SILCOCK SO THE WATER CAN ESCAPE. ANY WATER REMAING IN THE SILCOCK MAY FREEZE AND DAMAGE THE SILCOCK.
